National budget collected incomes of 27.1 billion lei since beginning of 2022

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/- In the first four months of 2022, the national public budget (BPN) collected incomes worth 27.1 billion lei, up by 4.5 billion against the same period of the last year. Expenses were 29.5 billion lei, up by 4.7 billion lei against the same period of the last year.

According to the Finance Ministry, the execution of the national public budget ended with a deficit of 2.4 billion lei, and the balances of funds in the accounts of the component budgets of the national public budget amounted to 8.8 billion lei.

"State budget revenues in the reference period amounted to 17.3 billion lei, increasing by 3.3 billion lei compared to the same period last year. The revenues administered by the State Fiscal Service amounted to 8.2 billion lei, and those administered by the Customs Service - 9.8 billion lei. Compared to the same period of 2021, revenues increased by 1.8 billion lei each ", indicates the quoted source.

State budget expenditures were executed in the amount of 20.5 billion lei, 3.5 billion more than in the same period last year. The execution of the state budget ended with a deficit of 3.2 billion lei, and the balances of funds in the accounts of the state budget amounted to 5.2 billion lei.

The Finance Ministry assured to meet all commitments for paying January-April 2022, all payments have been funded fully. "There are no risks for non-execution/stopping of expenses approved in budget, given that the budget has sufficient financial resources and permanently ensuring a prudent management of liquidities," a communique of the financial authority reads.
