Over six thousand citizens called for ambulance on weekend

Chisinau, May 10 / MOLDPRES /- In the last 72 hours, the emergency medical teams served 6,196 requests. 2,354 patients, including 599 children needed hospitalization.

According to the data of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance, on weekend 1,374 requests were registered at the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service due to cardiovascular emergencies; 852 respiratory diseases; 826 neurological pathologies and 714 traumas of different genesis.

During the same period, the intervention of the ambulance was requested for 1,053 children. Among minors, respiratory emergencies were most often recorded - 447 requests, of which 261 acute viral respiratory infections, followed by 192 traumatic emergencies.

Emergency teams also responded to 77 patients with strokes and 36 patients with acute coronary syndrome. At the same time, the AMU teams provided medical assistance to 19 people with intoxications, including six drugs and five with alcohol.
