Moldovan diplomacy head to participate in meeting of G7 states' foreign affairs ministers

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, will lead Moldova’s delegation at a meeting of the G7 states’ foreign affairs ministers, due in the settlement Weissenhaus, Germany, on 12-14 May, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
On the sidelines of the meeting, at an invitation by Germany’s Foreign Affairs Minister Annalena Baerbock, Foreign Affairs Minister Nicu Popescu will give a speech on the security situation in the region, in the context of the war in Ukraine, management of refugees’ crisis, social and economic impact on Moldova and the Moldovan authorities’ sustained efforts in the process of reforms and modernization in the country’s European integration.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu will have bilateral meetings with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Foreign Affairs Minister Annalena Baerbock, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio, Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and other high-ranking officials.
