Acting Prosecutor General requested approval of lifting parliamentary immunity of two MPs

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/- Parliament will consider four requests today to approve lifting of the parliamentary immunity of two members of the parliamentary faction of the Shor party - Marina Tauber and Ilan Shor.
The requests regarding the approval of the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the two deputies in order to detain, arrest, search and send to the criminal trial were addressed today to Speaker Igor Grosu by acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu.
The committee on rules and immunities will examine the four requests and report on them to Parliament's plenary.
According to Parliament's Regulations, if the MP committed an offense or misdemeanor, the Prosecutor General may request Parliament to lift immunity in order to carry out procedural measures of detention, search, arrest or prosecution.
