Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - The children of the Ukrainian refugees from Moldova will have free of charge access to the medical services included in the single programme of mandatory health insurances. The expenses to this end will be covered by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) through the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM), based on an agreement signed between these institutions today.

„Thus, the children refugees, including those 100 ones born in Moldova since the beginning of the war, will benefit for free from the same medical services as the children from Moldova. Among them, there are the prophylactic examinations, including the monitoring of the child’s development, primary, specialized out-patient and hospital medical assistance services,’’ CNAM said.

The agreement on partnership between UNICEF and CNAM provides for the reimbursement, through a mechanism of budgetary support with special purpose, of the expenses dealing with the medical services provided to children aged between 0 and 18 years refugees from Ukraine.

The budget estimated for the medical assistance meant for the children of refugees from Ukraine is of almost 50 million lei, - a sum able to be adjusted by UNICREF, depending on the number of beneficiaries and the services provided.
