Over 40 drivers documented drunk in Moldova on last days-off

Chisinau, 6 June /MOLDPRES/ - Patrol policemen have documented over 40 drunk drivers.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), on the last days-off, law-enforcers detected more than 1,500 infringements of the road traffic regulations, committed by drivers.

Thus, about 1,000 drivers were fined for the exceeding of the speed limit. Another almost 350 drivers were sanctioned for the non-observance of road signs.

Also, policemen established the violation of the rules of registration or state registration of technical revision of vehicles – over 180 cases and in about 140 cases, drivers were sanctions for failure to couple the safety belt.

On the last days-off, policemen intervened in 133 cases – calls received at the 112 single number.
