Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with Romanian foreign affairs minister

Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian today had a meeting with Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, according to the agenda established during his official visit to Bucharest, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

The officials tackled a wide range of subjects on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and welcomed the developments occurred in the last years. The Romanian diplomacy head highlighted the constant support of Romania for Moldova’s territorial integrity and the country’s rapprochement with EU. The sides also expressed maximal openness for the deepening of the multidimensional partnerships and for the development of the forms of assistance provided by Romania to residents from the left bank of Prut.  

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian thanked for the diplomatic, moral and economic support provided by Romania during years. At the same time, he informed about the current situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as Chisinau’s visions on the way of settling the most pressing problems faced by the residents from both banks of Dniester, the risks triggered by the war in Ukraine and the actions undertaken by the Moldovan authorities to maintain the stability in the country’s Transnistrian region.
