Citizens awarded state distinctions to be able to benefit from nominal allocations or allocations foe special merits in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved the mechanism of giving the right to state nominal allocations to Moldova’s citizens, beneficiaries of pensions or state social allocations, including in other states, who have been awarded state distinctions of Moldova or of the former Soviet Union, no matter whether they reside in Moldova or abroad, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

Also, the cabinet members approved the providing of allocations for special merits before the state – to the wife, husband or one of the parents of the person who was posthumously awarded the Order of the Republic or the Stefan cel Mare order, who reside abroad, who are citizens of Moldova.  

Also, as an exception, the war veterans who were awarded state distinctions will have right to nominal allocations, no matter whether they are or are not beneficiaries of pension or state social allocation or whether they are have residence in Moldova or not.   

The eligible people, on whom the right to the concerned allocations was extended, will have to submit an application with the set of documents necessary till 29 July 2022.  

Also today, the cabinet approved a draft government decision which envisages the proper equalizing of the state distinctions of the former USSR and namely: the Red Flag order, the War for the Defence of the Motherland order, the first and second ranks, the Red Star order, the Slava (Glory) order and the order For Personal Bravery with Moldova’s state distinction – Faith to Motherland order, ranks one, according to its importance.
