Moldovan writer celebrates 90th birthday

Chisinau, June 14 / MOLDPRES /- Well-known children's writer Spiridon Vangheli, writer, poet, translator and publisher, winner of the State Prize, holder of the Order of the Republic is celebrating his 90th birthday today.
On this occasion, the exhibition of documents from the BNRM collections was opened yesterday at the National Library of the Republic of Moldova.
The exhibition includes about 120 documents that reflect the diversity of Spiridon Vangheli's creation and activity as a writer, publicist, translator, author of alphabets and textbooks, anthologies of poetry and prose.
In an interview with AIS MOLDPRES reporter, writer Spiridon Vangheli mentioned that the world of childhood is a special one.
Spiridon Vangheli was awarded the Andersen International Honorary Diploma, the Mihai Eminescu Medal, the Order of the Republic, the State Prize of the MSSR, the Ion Creanga Prize of the Romanian Academy, the title of Master of Art and the People's Writer.
