Head of Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office appointed in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu today signed an order, thereby instructing the appointment of Veronica Dragalin as head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The prosecutor in charge of communication of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Mariana Cherpec, has said that Dragalin would take over the office starting from 1 August 2022.

“Veronica Dragalin submitted an application, thereby asking to be appointed to this office as of 1 August this year, given that she is to finish certain activities dealing with the position held at present,’’ Cherpec noted.

Veronica Dragalin is the winner of the context for the position of chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. The decision was taken by the members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) in early last May, after CSP had examined four candidatures for this office.
