Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - The tariff for the collection, carriage and depositing of waste from the Chisinau city has been increased. The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today signed a decision to this effect, following a request received on behalf of the Autosalubritate (Self-Sanitation) Administration.
Under the document, the monthly tax for a private person in apartment blocks will be of 17.5 lei and 35 lei for private houses. The tariff will enter into force as of 1 July and was approved for a two-year period.
According to the document’s informative note, the Self-Sanitation Administration proposed to adjust the present tariffs, because of the increase in prices for fuel, electric energy and other consumables. Following the carrying out of calculations, the enterprise got a tariff of 153.10 lei for 1 cubic metre of waste collected.
The Chisinau Municipal Council approved the current tariffs 5 years ago.
