CSE ordered creation of new border crossing point with Romania

Chisinau, June 25. / MOLDPRES /- In order to manage the border crisis and streamline the trafficking of people and goods, the Commission for Emergencies (CSE) has ordered the establishment of a new state border crossing point, Leova - Bumbata, which will be open to international traffic, on the Moldovan-Romanian segment. The decision was taken at a CSE meeting chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, the government's communication and protocol departmenthas reported.

The opening of the new state border crossing point will be possible only after the competent authorities have executed the construction works of the access road and the infrastructure necessary for the arrangement of a pontoon bridge on the bank of the Prut River. In this sense, the necessary authorizations were granted for the fulfillment of these objectives, for the endowment of the future crossing point of the state border and for the necessary negotiations to be carried out with the Romanian side.

Also, in order to carry out the railway transport to the river-sea port Izmail in Ukraine, CSE empowered Moldovan Railway company to negotiate and sign company contracts for the rehabilitation of the Moldovan section of the railway section Basarabeasca (Moldova) - Berezyne (Ukraine), with a total length of 1188 meters and established the necessary procedures to achieve this goal.

At the same time, during today's meeting, the CSE members decided to extend, for the period July-August, the term of acquisition of electricity by Energocom, based on direct negotiations. Suppliers will conclude bilateral contracts with Energocom to ensure the necessary quantities of electricity, and in case of tariff changes, additional agreements will be signed.

In the context of managing the crisis of Ukrainian refugees, the Commission ordered that all medicinal products, as well as medical equipment, received by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection from humanitarian aid, be sent to the Union of Ukrainians of the Republic of Moldova.

At the same time, the CSE instruction stipulates that Ukrainian citizens, who entered the Republic of Moldova during the state of emergency, will have the right to be on the territory of our country for up to 90 days after its expiration. The provision also refers to the citizens who were legally in our country until the establishment of the state of emergency.

Another provision of the Provision refers to allowing the activity of itinerant trade in fairs and fairs for a maximum period of 120 consecutive days.

It was also excluded the obligation to hold a veterinary authorization for means of transport transporting agricultural products of plant origin intended for placing on the internal market. Ensuring hygiene conditions remains mandatory.
