Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with European Parliament president

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has discussed with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, on the sidelines of the anniversary Brussels Conference, organized by the German Marshall Fund.

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, at the meeting, Minister Nicu Popescu expressed the deep gratitude of the authorities for the political support of the European MPs, for giving Moldova the status of candidate state.

„The resolutions voted on this period at the Parliament conveyed a clear-cut message: Moldova’s future is in the European Union. The way towards accession is the only options which gives our country stability, development and prosperity,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu stressed.
