Mandatory insurance for car owners might be purchased online in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The civil liability insurance for car owners (RCA) will be able to be purchased online. The parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances approved a report on the draft which provides for this legislative amendment.

Under the document, the amendments have the goal to digitalize the process of RCA’s issuance. The implementation of digital innovations in insurances will lead to the development of online channels of distribution of insurance services and to cutting the administrative costs of contracting RCA mandatory insurance policies.

The draft law also sees the removal of the compulsoriness to physically bear the registration certificate, as well as the cancellation of the fine for not holding it.

The document will be submitted to parliament for approval.
