Civil liability insurance policy for car owners to be able to be processed, purchased online in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 July /MOLDPRES/ - The civil liability insurance for car owners (RCA) will be able to be processed and purchased online, according to legislative initiatives adopted by the parliament in the final reading today.  

Under the document, the amendments’ goal is to digitalize the process of issuance of RCA. Thus, the implementation of the digital innovations in insurances will lead to the development of the online channels of distribution of insurance services and to the cutting of administrative costs of contracting civil liability insurance policies for car owners.

The draft law also sees the removal of the compulsoriness to physically bear the registration certificate, as well as the cancellation of the fine for failure to hold it physically.

The law will enter into force starting from the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
