Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the identity papers will be diminished, under a today’s government decision, approved at a proposal by the Public Services Agency (ASP).
Thus, the passports processed in standard term, 30 days, will cost by 200 lei less.
„While the cost of a passport has been earlier 850 lei, then starting from 1 August, the paper’s cost will be 650 lei,’’ ASP head Mircea Esanu said at a news conference held after the cabinet meeting.
„The cheapening of the passports is the result of decisions by the Agency, taken directly with the government’s support, on the process of holding of tenders for the purchasing of forms,’’ Esanu noted.
The ASP head also said that the decision would provide for facilities and amendments to the regulation, which will be exclusively for the benefit of the citizens, including the refugees.
