ANSA inspectors controlled several food, trade establishments

Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The inspectors of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) carried out several control actions to verify compliance with the legislative provisions by operators in the food field, within trade units, public catering units and food establishments within general education institutions, asylums, placement centers, hospitals.
According to ANSA, on July 22-29, a total of 92 controls were carried out, following which 31 prescriptions were issued and 27 minutes were drawn up regarding the contravention.
"The Agency's inspectors detected and ordered the withdrawal of non-compliant food products from trade and public catering units. The detected non-conformities referred to the sale of food products with expired validity; non-compliant marking; improper sanitary-hygienic condition; lack of medical control and hygienic training of the employed staff; failure to ensure product traceability; lack of price indicators; lack of provenance documents etc.
At the same time, samples were taken for laboratory investigations (water, finished products, sanitation). If non-compliant food products or deviations in the field of legislation are detected, consumers are encouraged to submit petitions to ANSA.
