About 8,000 families in Moldovan capital to receive 700 lei aid for new school year

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- About 8,000 pupils from socially vulnerable families in the capital will receive 700 lei in aid for the new school year.

According to Chisinau City Hall, the action is part of a financial support program for disadvantaged families in the capital.

Payment will be made in two installments. In the first installment, 6,423 children will benefit from material aid, in the amount of 4.4 million lei (about 220 thousand euros).

Beneficiaries of the program are: families with many children without income or with low income, single-parent families, those in which one of the parents has a degree of disability and families with guardianship/guardian status, with deceased parents, deprived of parental rights or incapable of the work.

Families can pick up payments through the post offices of the Moldovan Post Office, upon presentation of the identity document, between August 2 and November 2.

The aid is granted for the third year in a row.
