Border Police employees received new service cars

Chisinau, Aug. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Border Police employees received today nine service cars, a donation offered by the development partners.

According to the head of the Border Police, Rosian Vasiloi, the cars were handed over to frontline employees. "Automobiles will help increase mobility and responsiveness. We will continue jointly with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to modernize the mobility and technology capabilities of the frontline subdivisions to ensure a high level of security for the country's citizens. I express my gratitude to the development partners. We appreciate the solidarity shown", wrote Rosian Vasiloi on a social network.

The donation includes six Ford Ranger cars, which were purchased as part of the Emergency response to Ukraine crisis-affected persons in Moldova project. It was funded by the US State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration and implemented by IOM Moldova. At the same time, three other VW T6 cars were purchased with the financial support of UNHCR-Moldova.
