Conversion processes, spatial data to be tested in Ungheni

Chisinau, August 26 /MOLDPRES/- The Land Relations and Cadastre Agency, the Public Services Agency, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ungheni city hall and the State Administration of Roads (ASD) signed today a memorandum of understanding and cooperation for the demonstration and testing of conversion processes from digital format, increasing the quality of digital spatial data sets and the production of metadata for the Ungheni Area.
"Supported by the Twinning project Improving spatial data services in the Republic of Moldova according to EU standards and other donors, the quality of digital spatial data sets will be increased via elaboration of their specifications and models, as well as the harmonization and creation of metadata for their publication on the geoportal National Spatial Data Infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova, throughout the country", the ASD said.
During six months, the involved parties will go through the stages of the project, by paying on-site visits, holding training sessions, implementing activities under the direct guidance of experts, in order to ensure the practical implementation of the guidelines.
The memorandum of understanding and cooperation will develop and create new opportunities to exchange data, projects and experience, accessible to all citizens of Moldova.
