Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with official at Swedish Foreign Affairs Ministry

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has met Head of Department for UN Policy, Conflict and Humanitarian Affairs at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Sweden Carl Skau. The two officials referred to the support provided to Moldova in the context of the refugees’ crisis both bilaterally and as part of the response of the United Nations’ specialized agencies.

The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported that the Moldovan official touched upon including the current needs, as well as the efforts of coordination, in the case of the developments related to the war in Ukraine.

„I thanked for Sweden’s openness to firmly support our European integration efforts, given that Sweden will hold the presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2023,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
