Moldovan economics minister participates in meeting of Moldovan-Polish inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - Economics Minister Sergiu Gaibu today participated in the sixth meeting of the Moldovan-Polish inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, held in Warsaw on 12-14 September.
The subjects discussed deal with the cooperation in the energy security sector, agriculture, finances, infrastructure and urban development.
“The meeting is absolutely necessary for prioritizing the activities on the bilateral agenda, which will give a new impetus to the relations between Moldova and Poland, on aspects regarding the economic and social sectors: commerce, investments, education, energy, transport agriculture, environment and business development. We appreciate the Polish side’s openness for the providing of a loan worth 100 million euros on easy terms, in order to implement investment projects which would stimulate the bilateral economic relations,’’ Sergiu Gaibu said.
According to the minister, Moldova deems as opportune the consideration of potential projects in such sectors as modernization of transports and infrastructure, agro-food complex, public order, security and digitalization.
The economics minister is the head of Moldova’s delegation, which includes also colleagues from other ministries.
