Sewage system to be modernized in three suburbs of Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 14 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Residents of Cruzești, Budești and Tohatin villages, Chisinau municipality will benefit from a modernized sewage system.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development paid a working visit to the construction site in Tohatin yesterday, to monitor how the construction works of the sewage networks and the domestic water pumping station are progressing. "The pumping station will be located at the border of the three localities and will allow the population access to the centralized sewage networks in proportion to 98%", according to the relevant ministry.
The construction has 1000 meters of sewage networks, which will unite the existing pumping station with the newly built regional pumping station. Also, a sewage system with a length of 3,340 meters and a pressure collector with a total length of 5,942 meters will be built. "With the implementation of the project, more than 13 thousand inhabitants from the three localities will be connected to the centralized sewage networks, including kindergartens, schools, hospitals: six preschool, middle school, high school institutions; three hospitals; four centers for children and youth, eight public institutions from other fields (church, post office, museum, etc.)", says the cited source.
The project is implemented under European Village National Program.
