Procedure of managing lands covered with forest vegetation to be facilitated in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament adopted a draft law which regards the facilitation of the management of the lands covered with forest vegetation in the first reading today.

The draft sees the change of the mechanism of authorization of the harvesting of the wood mass on the lands of the forest fund and outside it. The document establishes the exact categories of lands with forest vegetation, on which forest and technical works can be made through authorization, as well as the types of forest treatments which are authorized.

Among the draft’s provisions, there is also the establishment of the notification as simplified procedure of authorizing the works of forest treatment and maintaining the forest vegetation from the green areas. The notification on the harvesting of the wood mass will be submitted to the Environment Agency and will allow applicants to carry out the activities planned from the moment when the Agency issued the notification on reception.  

To become law, the draft is to be adopted in the final reading.
