Salaries for community social workers, parenting assistants to increase

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Salary grades for community social workers and professional parental assistants with professional technical studies will increase. The parliamentary committee on social protection, health and family approved today the report of a draft law in this regard.

At the same time, it is proposed to increase the salary classes for other categories of employees. The impact of the law will be 35.9 million lei (about 1 million 855 000 euros) annually.

At the same time, in the context of the granting to the Republic of Moldova of the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union, it is proposed to establish an additional salary increase for the achievement of priority tasks. The increase, in the amount of up to 75% of the basic salary, comes to financially stimulate the personnel directly involved in carrying out the tasks of Moldova's accession to the EU.
