Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The first 180 social assistants and librarians have started the training on the work of the platform, www.compensatii.gov.md, in order to help citizens register online and benefit from compensations for energy.

According to the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, people who do not have equipment, access to Internet or have no needed abilities to register individually will be able to appeal to the assistance of trained staff.

Over 2,000 registrars from all over Moldova – community social assistants and librarians – will benefit from trainings. The trainings are organized by the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the Programme, Approaching the impact of the energy crisis in Moldova.

„In this way, the government makes sure that all citizens who meet one of those five categories of energy vulnerability will benefit from the assistance provided to pay the energy invoice. At the same time, a governmental green line will be created, where information will be accessible about the procedure of asking for compensations, accessing and registration on the online platform, www.compensatii.gov.md,’’ reads a press release by the ministry.

In the wake of the increase in the price for natural gas, the cabinet created the Fund of Reducing the Energy Vulnerability, in order to help residents overcome the global energy crisis, which hits Moldova too. Five billion lei (about 250 million euros) will be allocated for paying the compensations for energy.
