Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- The Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) examined and approved at today's public meeting the regulated prices for the electricity provided by the providers of the universal and last option service.

Thus, the following electricity supply prices were approved by Premier Energy, differentiated according to the demarcation points or places of consumption of the final consumers: 0.251 lei/kWh for the electricity supplied at the entry points in the transport networks; 0.265 leii/kWh - at the exit points from the electric transport networks; 0.268 lei/kWh for end consumers whose installations are connected to high voltage distribution networks (35–110 kV); 0.281 lei/kWh - medium voltage (6–10 kV); 0.315 lei/kWh - low voltage (0.4 kV).

For the Northern Electric Power Supply company the following differentiated regulated prices were approved, namely: 0.227 lei/kWh for the electricity supplied at the entry points in the electric transport networks; 0.242 lei/kWh - at the exit points from the electric transport networks; 0.261 lei/kWh for end consumers whose installations are connected to medium voltage distribution networks (6–10 kV); 0.321 lei/kWh - low voltage (0.4 kV).

Following the examination of the applications presented by the license holders, ANRE found the existence of objective factors that lead to the need to adjust the costs that are included in the determination of the regulated electricity supply prices for 2022, among which the most important are: the increase in the procurement price of electricity from Energocom as the central electricity supplier by about 34% (from 3.24 lei/kWh to 4.33 lei/kWh); the increase in the procurement prices of imported electricity; the devaluation of the national currency against the US dollar by about 6% compared to the value applied when determining prices on 8 June 2022.

The new regulated prices will be applied from the publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
