Foreign affairs minister meets ambassador of Albania to Moldova

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a meeting with Sofia-based Ambassador of Albania to Moldova Donika Hoxha, on a working visit to Chisinau.

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE), the officials discussed possibilities of boosting the Moldovan-Albanian dialogue, including in the context of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations.

Also, following the getting of the status of country candidate for accession to the European Union, Moldova is interested in taking over Albania’s experience for implementing the European integration policies and starting the negotiations on accession.

„I assured the ambassador of Albania of MAEIE’s every openness and support in the consolidation of the good Moldovan-Albanian relations, both bilaterally and multilaterally,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
