Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - A painting exhibition titled, European cities, by three fine artists from Moldova, Galina Vieru, Natalia Yampolskaia and Mila Grekul, today was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Attending the event were Moldova’s Ambassador to Council of Europe Daniela Cujba, the first secretary of Moldova’s Permanent Representation at the Council of Europe, Diana Lesan, other officials.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Galina Vieru said the exhibition represented the European cities. ‘’All three authors present this subject. The exhibition comprises 17 works in all, of which six ones were signed by me and show the cities of Paris, Venice, London, Chisinau, Bucharest and Kiev. Mila Grekul exhibited five works and Natalia Iampolskaia – 6. Through these works, we come up with the message about Moldova’s way to Europe, about the people of this country who, while looking for their sense in the world, bring home beauty, change and peace. Our European course can be defined also through art and this exhibition shows the fact that Moldova, through its artists, makes firm steps towards the European family and culture,’’ Galina Vieru stressed.
The exhibition will be opened till 3 November.
