Competition for cultural projects for 2023 launched

Chisinau, Oct. 28 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the competition for cultural projects, carried out by non-commercial organizations for 2023, in accordance with the Regulation on financing cultural projects carried out by non-commercial organizations from the state budget. The project budget is five million lei /about 257 thousand euros/.

Cultural projects are to be submitted to the competition for one of the following six thematic areas: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Music, Education through Culture, Written Culture and Cultural Heritage.

The Ministry of Culture will grant funding of up to 200 thousand lei for each project, ensuring up to 80% of the implementation cost of a project. The contribution of non-commercial organizations to the realization of the project needs to be at least 20% of the cost, from their own sources or through co-financing. The winning projects will be financed in the same percentage as the accumulated points, between 60 and 100% of the amount requested from the ministry.

The deadline for submitting projects is November 25, 2022.
