Cimislia hosts international festival

Chisinau, Oct. 31 /MOLDPRES/- Mioriţă Laie-Bucălaie is the title of an international festival held in Cimişlia on 29-30 October. The event was organized by the National Federation of Sheep and Goat Breeders, in partnership with the town hall, the district council, and aimed at promoting the occupations, traditions and customs characteristic of the southern region of the country, especially the sheep industry.

The festival was attended by sheep and goat breeders from our country, as well as from Armenia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The festival agenda included an exhibition-fair of animals, especially of sheep and goats, a fair of folk craftsmen from the southern region, other areas of the country, exchange of practices and experiences in the field, etc. Breeders and producers from the region and abroad, scientists, discussed the latest news and trends recorded in the field of sheep and goat breeding.

Also, nationally specific sports competitions were organized. Culinary contests took place during the festival.
