Moldovan, Romanian presidents have meeting at Cotroceni Palace in Romania

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, with whom she discussed the special relations between Chisinau and Bucharest, the presidential press service has reported.
Maia Sandu said that Romania had always been a reliable partner for Moldova, ready to provide the Moldovan citizens with support in difficult moments.
I expressed gratitude for numerous projects financed by the Romanian side in important sectors, through which the living standards of the Moldovans have become better. I also appreciated the bilateral dialogue, which became more open and more dynamic and thanked for the prompt measures taken by Romania, to help us with the supply of electricity, natural gas, crude oil and fire wood for our citizens, to cope with the energy crisis,’’ the Moldovan head of state said.
President Maia Sandu stressed that Romania was for Moldova also an important advocate in the European integration and this support had been visible, especially in the process of getting the status of country candidate for integration into the European Union.
