Chisinau, Nov. 2 /MOLDPRES/- On a visit to Bucharest, President Maia Sandu yesterday had a meeting with members of the Bessarabia Businessmen's Club, formed by a group of compatriots settled across the Prut. They created and developed businesses in Romania, but continue to be connected to everything that happens in the Republic of Moldova.

According to the presidential press service, as most of them did business on both sides of the Prut river, the head of state spoke with them about the differences between the business environment in the two countries. Entrepreneurs indicated the issue of justice as the main reason for leaving home. "We also discussed the fiscal regime and the interaction between regulatory institutions and business. We talked about the impediments to the reforms, as well as about our determination to complete them to ensure the observance of the law by all and the protection of private property", said the head of state.

Maia Sandu and the businessmen came to the conclusion that joint efforts are needed to transform the country. "We agreed to work together to improve the business environment at home, to attract investment and create jobs. I congratulated them because they managed to do successful business and I thanked them for their efforts to promote the country in Romania and in other countries in the region", she said.
