Authorized Economic Operator programme to be modernized, principles set by ensuring safety, security of supply chain to be guaranteed in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - The suspension, amendment and cancellation of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) authorizations will be carried out through the information system for the management of the AEO authorization (SI e-AEO). The cabinet took a decision to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document sees also the enforcement of the criterion of customs and fiscal compliance both at the authorization of the AEO status and in the authorization of the simplified customs clearance procedures at home.
SI e-AEO will allow an automated management of the legal and administrative relations, which come from the national and international regulations of AEO as law institution, and will facilitate the exchange of information with the business environment (AEO applicants/titular members).
At the same time, SI e-AEO will be component part of the Customs Integrated Information System and its goal is to form the reliable information source in the AEO sector, meant for the customs authority and economic agents applicants/titular members of the AEO status.
Following the amendments made, a stable and reliable system of record, management and traceability for the AEO applicants and titular members will be created, which will allow establishing an improved normative framework of the criterion of compliance AEO, through adjusting to the EU standards.
At the same time, the processes of consultation, application, consideration, management, auditing, monitoring, re-assessment, issuance, suspension, withdrawal and cancellation of AEO authorizations will be optimized. Thus, all actions introduced will contribute to the facilitation of the foreign trade, improving the business climate in Moldova in terms of competitiveness, as well as to proper ensuring of safety and security of the international supply chain.
