Moldovan sappers destroyed 34 explosives, 1,600 cartridges in October

Chisinau, Nov. 3 /MOLDPRES/- In October, the National Army sappers carried out 17 demining missions in localities from the districts of Ștefan Vodă, Hâncești, Anenii Noi, Ungheni, Bălți, Ialoveni, Leova and Șoldănesti.
According to the Ministry of Defense, following the survey of the land, the sappers found and destroyed 34 explosives and 1,600 cartridges of different calibers. All munitions were from the World War II. They were destroyed under maximum security.
Since the beginning of this year, the National Army sappers carried out 157 demining missions, as a result of which they destroyed 481 explosives of various types and 13,161 cartridges.
