New intensive care unit opened at Căușeni hospital

Chisinau, Nov. 5 /MOLDPRES/- A new intensive care unit was opened yesterday at the Căușeni district hospital- Ana și Alexandru.

The new structural intensive care unit is provided with all the necessary connections and standards for the respective profile: oxygen, ventilation, vacuum, etc.

The total cost for the foundation of the section is about 13.8 million lei (about 700 thousand euros), of which the Căușeni District Council offered over five million lei, the Czech Embassy about four million lei, the Căușeni dstrict hospital Ana and Alexandru - about 1.8 million lei, and the rest of the amount was collected from donations.

"The equipment of this ward makes it possible to apply new technologies and advanced treatment methods, in order to give the critically ill a chance to survive", director of the Căuşeni Hospital Alexandru Cojocaru said.
