Electricity consumption at Moldovan parliament decreased by 30 percent last month

Chisinau, Nov. 8 /MOLDPRES/- Last month, Parliament saved 30.3% on electricity consumption, compared to the same period last year.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, this summer the manual mode of connecting and disconnecting the air conditioning system has been switched over, so that, in the absence of people in the room, including in the plenary session hall, the system does not work, fact that allowed an important reduction in energy consumption.

Also, the interior lighting was reduced, the lights in the hallways being turned off, and all the lighting fixtures used are of the LED type. Outside of working hours, only the signaling light is used, if necessary, and at night the lighting inside the building is stopped.

At the same time, the institution informs that the lighting of the building from the outside and the adjacent territory at night has been abandoned. On days off and holidays, all engineering systems in the Parliament building are disconnected.
