Moldova's Official Journal published decision on one-off aid for employees infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, Nov. 11 /MOLDPRES/- Medical staff and other public sector employees, who fell ill with Covid-19 while performing their duties until September 30, 2020, will benefit from a one-off allowance of 16 thousand lei (about 800 euros ). The decision was published in the Official Journal on 11 November.

Under the document, 2,606 people will get one-off aid, of which 2,593 - medical staff. In this regard, 41.7 million lei will be earmarked from the Government's Intervention Fund.

From this amount, 17.7 million lei will be allocated to the Ministry of Health for 1,107 people; 4.5 million lei - Chisinau Municipal Council for 282 people; 1.6 million lei - Cahul District Council for 97 people; 1.2 million lei - Edineț District Council for 73 people, and the rest will be distributed to other central and local public authorities.

So far, 17,772 employees have benefited from the one-off aid worth 16 thousand lei.
