Urban revitalization project completed in Sângerei

Chisinau, Nov. 21 /MOLDPRES/- The urban revitalization project Sângerei - city of territorial inclusion, financed by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and implemented by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North has reached the completion stage. On November 14-21, ADR Nord held the reception at the end of the works within this project.

According to ADR Nord, in total, the executing companies used 15.5 million lei (about 775 thousand euros), allocated from the sources of the FNDRL, the contribution of the City Hall of Sângerei was about 12% of the allocated amount.

Following the implementation of the project, the following indicators were obtained: 4,691 square meters of reconstructed pavement; 4,225 m2 of built access roads; four playgrounds built; three fitness places built; two mini-football stadiums built; a furnished square. In the next period, the entrepreneurs are to take into account the observations documented by the members of the reception committee.

This year, from the sources of FNDRL, ADR Nord is implementing three new urban revitalization projects in the north of the country. One of these is the Sângerei - the city of territorial inclusion project, submitted by the City Hall of Sângerei within the Call for the selection of regional development projects for the period 2021-2023. According to the Northern Regional Operational Program for 2022-2024, such projects aim to strengthen the role and functions of cities in increasing the competitiveness of the region.
