IGSU performed 21 rescue missions during massive power outage

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- A number of 21 rescue missions were carried out by IGSU rescuers and firefighters during the massive power outage recorded on the territory of the Republic of Moldova yesterday afternoon.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the firefighters unblocked 12 people trapped in the elevators, including two children.
In the same period, the firefighters intervened to extinguish seven fires, but also to free one person from a traffic accident.
The intervention of the IGSU teams was also needed to unlock a seven-year-old girl from an apartment in Ungheni.
The inspectorate specifies that in the conditions of the massive lack of electricity, the institution continued its activity, managing to meet all requests, and the subdivisions were connected to alternative energy sources.
