Christmas Fair to be set on Great National Assembly Square of Moldovan capital in 2022

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall this year will set the Christmas Fair on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN), as well as in the capital’s districts.    

According to the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, the Christmas town will be placed in PMAN, as repair works are carried out on the Square of the Birth of God Cathedral.

Ceban noted that, on the next days, the city would be decorated on the occasion of the winter holidays. ‘’We made calculations and the consumption of electric energy for all decorations in the city cost about how the consumption of an apartment block with 25 flats costs. At the organization of the winter holidays, we have also partners who will donate us electric generators which we will use and in the end, we will give them to education institutions from the capital,’’ Ion Ceban wrote on a social network.  

The mayor also said that all decorations in the last three years have been at the balance of the Chisinau city hall, at Departments, Praetor’s Offices, Enterprises. ‘’Our goal was for the city hall not to rent decorations for holidays each year, but to renew them year after year, being purchased for Chisinau,’’ Ion Ceban added.    

The capital’s leadership stressed that the Christmas Tree was to be set on the days to come. At the same time, the schedule of the holidays will be announced subsequently.
