Today's electricity deficit to be covered under breakdown contracts

Chisinau, Nov. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Energocom announced last night that it was unable to buy electricity for today from the Romanian platform OPCOM due to the sudden increase in prices.

"In this case, the operator of the Moldelectrica transport system will cover the deficit for Tuesday from operators in neighboring countries, based on breakdown contracts", according to the institution.

Moldelectrica said that for Tuesday, November 29, the entire forecast amount of electricity consumption was not contracted, thus a deficit of about 74% was anticipated.

The anticipated shortfall will be covered by an emergency energy supply contract. "Confirmation of availability was received from the OST of the neighboring state", said Moldelectrica.
