Experts ruled out risks of rocket falling near Briceni exploding

Chisinau, Dec. 6 /MOLDPRES/- The experts ruled out the risks of the rocket falling near Briceni exploding.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), specialists in technical-explosive expertise from the Bombteh service examined the body of the respective rocket and four other elements of it, detected in different areas. After the checks, they concluded that there is no explosive material on these objects.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations provides support for specialists to continue the on-site investigation. At the same time, the objects are to be picked up and sent to the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases.

Yesterday, around 15:15, against the background of the massive bombings in Ukraine, a Border Police patrol identified the place where elements of a rocket fell, in an orchard near the city of Briceni.

In accordance with the contingency plan of the MAI, the Border Police intensified its patrolling and raised the level of alert in the area of the Briceni and Ocnița inspectorates.
