Customs Service received donation of computers from Germany

Chisinau, 14 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service received today a donation of 150 computers from the German Government.
According to the Customs Service, the donation will be distributed to employees to control and perfect customs operations at border posts.
The equipment was handed over during a meeting between the Customs Service management and country director of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) Claudia Hermes.
Customs Service management said that this is one of the first major endowments with modern IT equipment in the last four years.
GIZ representatives expressed willingness to provide the necessary support in developing the capacities of the Customs Service.
The equipment donation has a value of 160 thousand euros.
