Caravan of Carols starts in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The National Library of Moldova (BNRM) has invited all people interested in the Caravan of Carols.

According to the organizers, the cycles related to the holiday of the Birth of Jesus and New Year is the most spread and spectacular out of all calendar customs. In the Romanian folklore, the Christmas Carol Singing is the most important traditional popular holiday cycle, the richest and most colured occasion to show the joy of the Birth of the Savior.

In the context, starting from 19 December, artistic bands of children from Chisinau, Orhei, Ungheni will perform in the BNRM hall. They will sing carols from the national and international repertoire, as well as winter songs.
