January 2, May 8 to be days-off in Moldova in 2023

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ - The days of 2 January and 8 May 2023 will be regarded as days-off, under a decision approved by the cabinet today. These days will be recovered on Saturdays, 28 January and 13 May, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The draft was worked out taking into account the fact that, in 2023, more non-work holidays, stipulated in the Labour Code, are on Sundays or Saturdays.
Under the provisions of the Labour Code, the government has right to transfer the days off/working days to other days, so that the employees optimally use the days off and non-work days.
