Moldovan defence ministry's leadership congratulates servicemen in international peacekeeping operations

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - Defence Minister  Anatolie Nosatii and the commander of the National Army, Eduard Ohladciuc, at a today’s videoconference, discussed with the commanders of the National Army’s contingents deployed in peacekeeping operations in Kosovo and Lebanon.    

During the dialogue, the minister was informed by the contingents’ chiefs about the security situation from the responsibility areas, as well as the way the peacekeepers were fulfilling their tasks.    

The defence minister thanked the servicemen for the responsibility and devotion with which each of them they fulfilled the task.

„This year, you mark the winter holidays far from the families and relatives. I want to thank you for the self-denial and professionalism you proved while fulfilling your missions in the peacekeeping operations. Through your good performance, the National Army becomes more reliable on the international stage and more interoperable with our partners in the responsibility sectors,’’ Nosatii said.    

Presently, 41servicemen are in the KFOR operation in Kosovo and four general staff officers and sergeants – in the mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.
