In 2022, projects worth 165 million lei carried out in northern Moldova

Chisinau, Jan 5. /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) North turned to good account the past year about 165 million lei (8.25 million euros) for the implementation of 15 infrastructure projects and five soft projects in the North Development Region.

According to ADR Nord, of the total amount of investments registered last year, about 94 million lei were used for projects financed from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL), 67.6 million lei - for projects financed by the Union European and 3.2 million lei - for projects financed from other external sources. "At the same time, during the past year, ADR Nord organized events whose objectives were the implementation of the regional development policy and the promotion of the Northern Development Region as an attractive destination for investors and tourists", the cited source indicates.

Also, in 2022, ADR Nord carried out a series of activities to fulfill regional development objectives, initiating activities in the following areas of intervention: water supply and sewage; business support infrastructure; tourist activity; urban development; Energetic efficiency; research, innovation and technology transfer.

"The main objectives of ADR Nord for 2023 are to ensure access to quality public services and utilities; facilitating economic growth and attracting investment in the region; improving governance at the regional level. ADR Nord will continue to use the relationships it has developed in recent years with its traditional partners from the European Union and with new partners", the institution said.
