Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government has increased up to 500,000 lei (25,000 euros) the volume of the non-refundable financial support provided to companies willing to apply environment-friendly practices. Also, the cabinet extended by another three years the programme on greening, managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).

Marcel Vutcariov has been managing a company for processing marble since 2009. To improve the production processes and make them inoffensive for the environment, in 2022, Vutcariov applied to the programme on greening of small- and medium-sized enterprises. The company purchased a station for purifying residual waters with the money got – 200,000 lei.

„We are the first on the local market to use such a water-purifying station. Now we do not throw anything into the environment. All water used by our company is purified,’’ Marcel Vutcariov noted.

Economics Minister Dumitru Alaiba says that a lasting business means a sustainable one, including from the ecological point of view. ‘’The economy cannot develop to the detriment of the environment. Therefore, we encourage entrepreneurs to resort to this instrument of support on behalf of the state,’’ the minister said.

According to the government, so far, over 80 enterprises have got grants for water-purifying stations, equipment for implementing the circular economy or which issues less CO2, equipment for sorting dangerous waste, etc.
