Collaboration between local authorities is essential if we want to rid Moldova of garbage - president says

Chisinau, 13 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu appreciated the cooperation between mayors of Ungheni, Nisporeni and Călărași. Yesterday they signed an Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the modernization of the waste management infrastructure in the three districts, also founding a joint waste collection operator that will serve household consumers, economic agents and public institutions in the upper districts - named, the presidential press service has reported.

"I hope this example will inspire other LPAs to find common sustainable solutions for community waste management and encourage private initiative in this area. Collaboration between local authorities is essential if we want to rid Moldova of garbage!", Maia Sandu said.
